Story of Sami Senger

A New Life in Words

Samantha Senger Evans, known by her friends and family as "Sami," is a 24-year-old history nerd, bookworm, wife, and proud “bunny mom” (lol) who dropped out of the Bachelor of History program at Regent University to follow her God-given calling as an aspiring author. During the day, she’s an Outside-lawn-and-garden associate at Lowe’s, hefting some heavy bags of mulch and rock, while by night, she’s a housewife who endeavors to keep the house clean, supper cooked, laundry done, and a mischievous bunny under control (lol).

She has a passion for music, which she shares by singing and playing the piano at her local church. A shy introvert by nature, Sami would rather read and write than be seen at social functions. Though her dream career is to be an archaeologist like her favorite fictional heroine Lara Croft, her hidden imagination and open love for reading prompted her to start writing a novel at 16. Through many tweaks, that book evolved into the first novel of her Da Rosa series, Taken Captive. Over the years, she has discovered a new love for fiction writing that she didn't realize she had. Because of some past trauma, she wants Taken Captive to help all young girls who have been the unfortunate victims of sexual abuse, PTSD, depression, and suicidal tendencies to realize that only God can give them the strength to escape any manner of captivity. Sami gives all the credit to her friends, family, and, ultimately, to God.
